Absolute Bliss

Yesterday was the first really fabulous day I have had in some time.
Not just because I had the day off work, and not just because I got to spend that day with Jes, but because all of the elements of my day combined to just make me feel happy.
We slept in until 10, we had breakfast at our favourite cafe in the city, we lazed in the botaical gardens, laughed until we - or at least I - was in tears, chatted and cuddled on the grass and finished it off with a coffee by the (rapidly diminishing) lake.

It was lovely!
I also got some photos (which i kind of set up so I could get some shots for Bons CC Challenge, shh! haha!)
These are some of my favourites...

My favourite shot of the day...

So peaceful!

Yours truly...

Because Jesper always tells me off for pulling too many faces when he's trying to take photos of me...

Together :)
And lastly, I lovemy boy because he knows I'm a scrapbooker, so I will love photos like this...

I was so in love with these that I wanted to scrap them straight away, and scrap I did!

I quite simply love this boy!

ALSO, us DT girls over at Bons are fund raising at the moment for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. As part of this, I am holding an online class next Thursday night at 8.30 (Melbourne Time) on the forum.
As well as the forum, the class will be put on a special blog, because I know there are some of you who aren't into forums or too savvy with that side of scrapping.
The class will be charged at $5, and both the forum and the blog will be locked to anyone besides those who have donated.
Anyone who has already made the effort to donate already will have instant access to the class.
It will have step by step instructions, as well as explanatory images.
It's a super cheap class and you dont have to do it on the night, once you have made your donation, you can access it at your own free will!
It's for a great cause, so if you'd like to take part, you can go here:
http://www.breastcancerfundraising.org.au/personalPage.aspx?SID=85551
to pay with credit card or contact me at skye.m.johnson@gmail.com to find out how you can make a direct deposit cash donation.
Hope you can take part!

Anyway it's over and out from me now ladies - lunch break is nearly over and this work wont do itself (unfortunately!)
Take care of your lovely selves!

So Much Catching Up To Do!

I have been busy scrapping scrapping scrapping over the past week.
Done a couple of things for Bons that shall be revealed over the next couple of weeks.
We have the Cybercrop starting TOMORROW NIGHT so come along and join in, I am running a challenge and the other girls have some great ones to join in on too!
Here's a sneak of my sample...
Ooh, pretty!
ALSO starting today until Friday Bon has 20% off everything in store (except Kits, Retreat and Crop of course), so if you're in search of a bargain, get on over and check it out!
I had an awesome weekend.
I headed down to Geelong to meet up with the lovely Ali so we could have a day of scrapping at the Kaiser Craft outlet.
Of course we spent a lot of time chatting and eating yummy lunch from the bakery that we only each got about a page and a half finished, but it was just really nice to catch up, and of course it's always fun to have a WHOLE outlet full of product to choose from if you absolutely must! ;)
Here's the pages I finished...
Both holiday shots... I have SO many photos and I keep finding great ones that I previously passed over and am now dying to scrap!

I also did these last week, just as kind of free scrap type layouts... I'm not entirely sure Im happy with either of them - I just wasn't feeling the old mojo flowing last week.
That Coconuts one is from the boy kit (another travel shot!) - two pages down and reckon I still have enough product for another two. If you get 4 pages from a $35 kit, I reckon you'e doing ok!

After the weekend I am feeling inspired again and am hoping to get a few pages done this week, as well as some CJ's and ATCs that I am behind on!
Lots and lots to do and not enough time for it all - I need to learn not to take so much on!
Hope you all had wonderful weekends and are in for just as good a week!
Take care of yourselves and each other!

All in a Weekends Work

Monday means im back in the office, stuck at my desk looking out the window and longing to be outside... (actually its pretty grey outside, so maybe not actually outside today, just not doing paperwork!)...
Here in Melbourne we were spoiled for beautiful sunny weather this weekend, so I had the pleasure of being able to get out and go for a walk along the Yarra.
It was stunning and pretty and I got to wear a skirt! I always love Spring/Summer if for no other reason than the fact that I get to wear dresses and skirts (of course, that and the sexy rowers laying along the yarra in nothing but short shorts!)
I had intended to try and get some Christmas shopping done, but came away empty handed except for a pair of shoes for myself, but it was pleasant none-the-less!
This weekend was supposed to be Tulip Festival weekend. but with two of the girls sick with the flu, it had to be called off and since Jesper is super busy with study, and the end of the uni year approaching, I was left plan-less!
So That left me free to enjoy the sun, do my shopping and get some scrapping done... this is what my weekends scrapping consisted of...
Started my Christmas Cards - Kaisercraft papers and freebies from Q2 mag!

A layout I did of Jesper, not for a challenge or DT or anything... just cos I felt like it!

Sculpey Suns I made for the Yellow Embellishment Swap that I signed up for back in August! (oops!)

Sneak peek at my 'Room of the Month' example for Bons next month!

A second layout that I am doing with Bons Boy Kit for October. I had photographed the entire thing to show, but decided it needed some stitching, so will show it tomorrow instead!

I am absolutely loving that kit!
Everything in those sneaks comes with the kit, the alpha, the rub ons, the papers, the cardstock, all of it... I have never really been into working with pre-prepared kits, but this one is really doing it for me. I think Bon still has one or two left as well, they are selling like hot cakes, so if you want to have a play with some stunning papers and embellies, do yourself a favour and pick one up! They're great value, the product in them are worth well below what the kits are priced at.
I've also been a bit bad with my scrap spending over at the shop lately... There are so many delicious new products - especially the yummy prima products, that I have just not been able to help myself!
Bad skye!

ANYWAY, enough from me for today, I have work to get back to nad lots to do!
Hope you had a fantastic weekend and are going to have just as good a week!
Take care of yourselves, and each other!

That Dirty C Word...

You know the one...
The one that you start to hear a little more at this time of year...
...
...
...
Christmas!
I actually absolutely LOVE Christmas, but around this time every year, when all the stores start getting their decorations out, when I realise how little time I have left for figuring out what gifts to get people, let alone the buying of said gifts, cards etc etc, I totally go into panic mode!
So in a bid to get myself into the spirit and focus on the more fun things about Christmas, I decided I was going to start Mums Scrapware Gingerbread house that I won from Naomi Cox's blog last year.
The end result?
I am really happy with it!
Although I am still considering whether or not it needs a bit more bling here and there - what do you think?
(Oh and thanks to Ange at Scrapware for helping me out with the fence! HUGE help!)
I think it might have even done the trick and got me in the spirit!
I started a couple of Christmas cards last night as well, which I'll share next week when I'm able
to get a decent shot (light this morning was terrible), and I am set to get stuck into a bit of shopping on the weekend!

I also managed to get my second kit layout finished for Bons, but since it was so dark this morning, didn't get a chance to photograph it.

Hope you have all had a fab week are are in for a great weekend!
Melbourne has a sunny forecase so I am hoping to spend some time outside enjoying it!
Take care lovelies!
